hailing from bucharest, romania the vinyl speed adjust duo have been rapidly on the rise as producers and djs over the past few years with a back catalogue boasting material on pressure traxx, gilesku records, colours in music and visionquest where they return to here, as well accolades from leading industry names such as ricardo villalobos, raresh and rhadoo. here we see the pair back on fine form for visionquest following their carpe diem ep on the label in 2015 and taking the lead is title track retro which sees things taken down a percussive led path via modulating pot drums, murky bass flutters and screeching atmospherics. det riot follows and ups the energy levels with robust rhythms and stuttering vocal chops running with subtly unfolding arps, and further howling expansive swells hidden in the depths of the record before stretch souls rounds things off, closing with tumbling organic percussion, soft pad sweeps and a rumbling low end drive.

vsa records debuts with the two label founders - vinyl speed adjust - forefronting two monster acid cuts - the a side -lost and found-, makes due with some very intriguing bassline rhythms, melodies, vocal chants and breaky hi-hat patterns whilst the b side - -black and white-, seemingly continues the idea, retaining the specific roland sound, but in a much more industrial techno fashion, with a more obvious kick drum and looped out rhythms. vinyl only.

pressure traxx presents silver series - its new vinyl-only sub-label with the first release lined up for april 2014. on the first release, ptxs 001, you will meet the young talented duo vinyl speed adjust. hailing from bucharest, romania, eddy and levii deliver *groovin n moovin*, a three tracks ep that excellently shapes the sound that brought their homeland the well deserved attention, yet breaking the pattern. 2015 repress

drumma records presents its second collaboration with romanian duo vinyl speed adjust (vsa). the ep titled the awakening shows us vsas intelligent approach to music, an ideal fit at drumma records where creatively effervescent music is embraced with open arms. the record has 4 tracks. the eponymous the awakening is a special trip between break rhythms, modern jazz and a dreamy perpetual arpeggio. it creates a great mood for artists who want to present something special during their set. a2 is the grind, a very strong and acid track with a powerful evolving bassline that creates perfect suspense. inspired by the 90s, its raw and its analogue, definitely a hot track. monoxide comes with a linear rhythmic pattern and a very deep sub-bass sound fused with trippy synth soundscapes, ideal to put in a mental note during a session. the release is topped off with an amazing remix by the great valentino kanzyani. hes brought his own approach to the grind. the remix is a track with very strong groove and an intelligent evolution that creates small sonic worlds at every turn. valentino knows how to masterfully work a constant crescendo where tension and rest is perfectly resolved and we can feel his approach to techno at its best.

next up on the influential visionquest label is a revered bucharest duo vinyl speed adjust aka claudiu-eduard balan and andrei predoi. this cult pair serve up three essential new cuts that fit in perfectly with the labels spiritualand heady, stripped back techno sounds, and they follow on nicely from great recent eps by visionquest founders ryan crosson shaun reeves and deadbeat. claudiu-eduard and andrei are leading techno makers in their native romania and have made a name for themselves with their experimental, heavily percussive and intoxicatingly intricate soundscapes on labels like pressure traxx, gilesku records, colours in music and many more. here they do so once more, and in the process blow all competition out of the water
