two miscreants of uk electronics have been drafted in by shipwrec for a 12- of techno debauchery. richard bevan and joshu doherty, aka posthuman, have been addicted to acid from their first contact with the caustic and cruel chords of the tb303. since then the two cousins have gone on to curate 10 years of i love acid as well as doling out some toxic classics of their own. the duo deliver the soured goods once again, starting the audio anarchy with the ominously titled -netflix and kill-. drum patterns are gnarled and nasty in this slow burning jacker where basslines boil over into a thick syrup of late night revelry. the flip is taken over by the bullying sounds of -the damocles syndicate.- the track rumbles with venomous menace. coils of 303 spite bulge and contract under the strict resolve of a stern beat in this ready made floor filler. two helpings from two malevolent masters of the silver box.

nice price deal !!! the 8th release on mindtrick records will be by the greek producer and sound engineer mobthrow. mobthrow just released his full length self titled debut album on adnoiseam and is now ready for his first 12inch release which will come out on the 5th of september. the 12inch brings a somewhat deeper feeling to the sound of mobthrow which is starting out with pitchblack on the a side. the 2nd track is flashback and is based in rewind mirror techniques (intro sample remains the same if you rewind it). heavy beats at 140 bpm. it is a story between dreams and reality, as the storyteller (mulholand drive sample) describes.
enter dubcore sets the tempo a little bit higher, balancing between dubstep/dnb. techy production approach (808.909 & tb303 used), born to spin in underground clubs at rush hour. also on the b side you will find a remix of pitch black which is made by german sound designer and composer hecq which kranks up the sound completely and make you slit your own wrists while listening to it!
overall this record is an excellent prove that dark sounding music can be very danceable!

the haunting is a production straight out of the highland beats studio. jan liefhebber goes back to his roots with this old-school techno acid track. the ep starts with three minutes of pure techno accompanied by a haunting undertone. a contagious tb303 bass line kicks in when you least expect it and brings the track to a pounding crescendo inspired by early horror films and the dark rave sounds of the 90s. ritzi lee is no stranger to the art of techno and has remixed the haunting with his favorite tool the tr909 leaving the original acidic skeleton intact. ritzis detroit-influenced techno mix completes the 12inch and makes it an essential piece of red transparent vinyl for all techno freaks. experiments have been carried out on unsuspecting crowds around the globe and the first results are extremely satisfactory. hb041 is supported by miss djax, aaron liberator, bart thissen, nimbuz and buzz goree (mixworks/underground resistance)
