sheffield trio standard fare had a great 2010 that saw the release of debut album >the noyelle beat< festival appearances at latitude, indietracks, in the city and swn and two us tours, including playing at sxsw. it was on their us travels that they met pop soul mates one happy island.
hailing from boston, massachusetts, one happy island also had a stellar 2010, releasing their own eponymous debut album, an lp filled with a sense of wonder, fun and everything from autumnal, orchestral ruminations to farfisa-fired garage-pop.
2011 kicks off for both bands with a joint release. its a simple proposition: each covers one track from their counterparts album and each introduces a new original, all packaged as a 4 track ep, with glorious indiepop results!
