after a couple of essential releases under the pseudonym “epiphany” in labels such as ahd or semantica, damian schwartz is back with his second full length album. an incredible piece of work highly influenced by detroit and ny’s house and techno sound.
damian schwartz and jonas kopp, two old friends and part of the esperanza family come back to the label to deliver a split ep full of deepness and dubby yet summerish feeling. a side, hidden house its the deep cut of the record with a huge detroit feeling, analog synths, melodies, pads. chords, strings. jonas track on the b side is a great tool we have been using for years already, 100% his own unique stlyle of dubby techno. must have!
the faceless artist, the nameless music. based in paris but with soul between chicago and detroit, rhythm& soul releases his first ep on monofunk. a release full of magic and soul , proper of the most respected nouvelle cuisine chefs from the city of love. deep house with jazzy touches and an amazing groove where each track becomes a deep future classic. >la jazzete< perfectly describes rhythm & souls sound identity. elegant drums, perfect melody and a bass line full of soul and three piano musical notes that repeats itself until it finds its way in to your dreams. in >midnight preacher<, r&s takes us to the most soulfull detroit. slowly progresses, with an impact full simplicity, to build up a 100% organic track full of life and plenty of funk. thats dope! damian schwartz (cmyk, apnea, deepdope), is our star guest. damian remixes brilliantly and unexspectable midnight preacher, twisting the track and taking us to the most analogic ghetto, maintaining the elegant melodies of the original track.
for our fourth release we decided to take one of our favourite tracks from the discos de lata catalogue and give it to some friends to remix it. the tracks is sour mood by xpansul and damian schwartz.on side a, the capo of the new sond from chicago, billy dalessandro adds all that funk he has, with that remarkable chicago flavour and a subtle touch of acid. a solid track that keeps the hypnotic vibe of the original adding a tension that takes it to peak time territory. on side b, spanish techno master, alex under, joins forces with super talented argentinean producer leo gruenbaum, aka gruenbox, to deliver a piece of strong funky techno. the deep bass and groovy percussions are the foundations for a progression of hypnotic elements that make this a track a sure killer. we love techno!
nice price deal !!! for almost a decade now, lovemonk has been releasing classy music and this new 12 inch is no exception. damian schwartz – who has previously released on the likes of oslo, apnea, bass culture and hypercolour as well as running his own a harmless deed imprint featuring producers like marcos cabral and dj f - presents a new two track ep that continues in that good tradition.
after having released >salson< on our 10 years raum compilation already, damian schwartz returns with his first solo single on our label. >pedro< which is also the title of this record is a deep techno track that is based on a hypnotic piano sequence. >badabambu< is more house orientated and like for >salson< damian gets support from guti who has played the synths for this tune. last but not least this release also features a remix of >pedro< by none other than daniel stefanik which is adding some more peak time flavour while still staying close to the original. enjoy !

big support by richie hawtin, ricardo villalobos, paco osuna, marco carola, xpansul, davide squillace... after his summer holidays in miami, damian schwartz has rediscovered his kinky latino side. his new release is a story about futuristic techno, mental and contorted dance music seasoned with a salsa flavour. química afluencia (mupa 006) is the product of the chemistry affecting the brain of an individual for whom the obstacles are unknown, now focusing his talent on a black as night house, bigger and fatter than ever. >1568 drexel av< is a conga battle, full of bitter rhythms and syntethized sounds, friction for best possible dancefloor, the one that is in your brain. *2020 replicates this same adn but in different secuences: tons of sick and nasty grooves that make you sweat like hell. just a few artist have damian schwartzs capacity of going a step further on each one of his releases

already supported and played by djulz, mathias kaden, brothers vibe, tadeo, falko brocksieper... rosario is back to esperanza with our beloved franco cinelli. evolving on every single release, franco makes a strong comeback after his warehouse ep. the a side >green & blue<, that also names the ep, shows us his style in full effect with grooooovy percussive hints, analog touches, old school flavour and lot of sunrays. on the flipside, damian schwartz reworks the track turning it into a trippy detroit house affair perfect for every real >party lover< (yeah, for the ones who stay until late). >blue before sunrise< is the track for late night, sunset, sunrise, afterparty, warmup, etc. versatile, isnt it? but such a beautiful relaxed atmospheric song should be part of any classy session. enjoy the beats! its limited to vinyl and just 500 copies!.
