this is my best album for sure, says todd. we cant be exactly sure on that one, all three albums from todd bodine have been great. forms however, is perhaps the most complex and mature album that the berlin producer and dj has accomplished to date. and its also out with us! todd has worked at full speed over the last six months to bring us this fine piece of work.

berlins todd bodine is a fine representation of the underground music culture that has grown out of the city since the fall of the wall: gaining a residency at historical tresor club, he went on to become one of the most sought after german djs to perform around the globe, establishing himself as a...
were proud to present you our tenth release, the x ep! featuring tracks by some of our favourite artists, which already appeared on klangfarbe schallplatten as artist, remixer, dj and/or liveact in the klangfarbe klub events in cologne! on a1 youll find todd bodines love & hate, which sets with a dark mood and developes to a real monster. tandem follows with pubstone on a2 with a shakin groover, which lives and loves appregiated synthlines in a melodic kind of way. b1 is our man mri, who delivers a powerful techno-stomper called round & round, more than lightly detroit influenced synths and pads. b2 is done by daniel mehlhart. he constructed a harmonic song which answers to the name of happy digits, which is really nice and which completes this diversified ep with great tracks for approching summer! listen up!
label like soma records, universal, get physical and also highgrade, all contribute to the impressive credentials of the spaniard, prompts breathtaking live sets and releases. but prompt, himself the founder of his own label 7noise, is never one to rest on his laurels: instead he continues to push boundaries with his new live project: the prompt live band, a fusion of electronic sound production and jazz. this is not the first such step for the clasically trained musician, with his onuba project he has already mixed the flamenco sound of home country with electronic music. the three tracks to be released on highgrade records, created in collaboration with the chop suey quartet, bring to life what would appear to be almost impossible: a real connection between the highly concentrated nature of electronic rhythms and the loose and improvised sounds of jazz instrumentation. the result is a very special kind of studio jam session: victor tarín on piano, david blanco on bass, daniel del val on the drums - and prompt on a computer! with so much pasion for musical innovation on show, its no wonder that highgrade co-boss todd bodine wanted to get his fingers into the pie and deliver his own remix for the ep
big with: davide squillace, gregor tresher, konrad black, ray okpara, tim green, joel mull, gel abril, mihai popoviciu, alexi delano, daniel sanchez, marc marzenit, dustin zahn, okain, doomwork, todd bodine, wally lopez, arnaud le texier, daniele papini, jorge savoretti, danny howells, michel de hey and more
nice price deal !!! for their fifth release todd bodine (highgrade, treibstoff, mothership) joined the cologne based label klangfarbe schallplatten and created a high-quality ep, which is hard to find today. duplexer (a1) initially allocates with bongos in space, to furthermore stabilize itself with more bass, percussion and volume, which leads into a durable, massive flow that s willing to persist bigger club duties as well. alpha (b2) is structurized akin to duplexer, but celebrates the true force, the true might of minimal by the use of consistently repetition of beat- and sound patterns as also psychedelic acid-parts in good, old plastikman tradition. morning breeze on b2 finally starts warmer and more housy, in a deep and easy lean-back manner, to distinctly cool down after a while and to approach the previous tracks. after all, the from nowhere to somewhere ep constitutes an extremely coherent ep, where it s obvious, that all three tracks mate together - as they are
mothership transmission #4… todd bodine has been one of our favourite producers for a long time so we are very excited to be able to bring to you this ep on mothership. todd always brings a swinging groove that works for both minimal and house djs and this release definitely delivers the doughnuts. side a, >secret edge< will turn any stale room fresh and get everyones toes tapping and asses wiggling. its got elements of detroit, chicago, and berlin all wound up into a really nice party starter. you can never underestimate a fun grooving track thats easy to mix and fun to dance to. side b, >back to back< is a submariners dream with bubbling water sounds floating and popping over a low funk groove. this is the track for when you want to take it down a notch without losing any dance-floor magic. its a real dreamy affair with a fat bottom end. thanks todd!
tech-funk at it s best with the latest installment in todd bodine s established digital madness series.. bounce from one side to the other with this ep.. nn
underground quality boss jus ed is beginning 2017 in fine fettle, with transition his first album since 2014 heading up a spate of vinyl releases. the triple-vinyl set is full of evocative, immaculately produced deep house treats, from the alton miller style intricacy of the loop 222 bodin strasse and shuffling, yearning the day prince died, to the rich bass and dancing drum machine hits of medellin my new grooveland (inspired, apparently, by a recent trip to colombia), and the low-slung, motor city grooves of sci-fi connection. best of all, though, is the rushing positivity of spring is near, where intertwining synth lines bubble away over a fizzing, techno-influenced rhythm track.
this is my best album for sure, says todd. we cant be exactly sure on that one, all three albums from todd bodine have been great. forms however, is perhaps the most complex and mature album that the berlin producer and dj has accomplished to date. and its also out with us! todd has worked at full speed over the last six months to bring us this fine piece of work. as a dj playing around the world and as a producer in the highest ranks of consistency, todd bodine has constantly developed as an artist. releases and remixes on respected labels, and collaborations with various artists have made him an internationally popular electronic musician. in 2007 he finally began to perform as a live act, and what club would better fit todds new live premiere than the panorama bar in berlin!? todd shows with forms, his innate knowledge of the two sides of electronic dance music. this is a meeting of peaktime euphoria with the relaxing bliss of the hazy morning light. a meeting of hypnotic natural rhythms and driving cut-up sounds. todd can impress you with dancefloor bombs and also with his sophisticated sound visions. the sound of detroit would probably be the best comparison.

nice price deal !!! a new collaboration in the highgrade mansion.todd bodine, one of highgrade s most profilic djs and producers, teams up for this perfect little joint with highgrade debut ludwig coenen, who seems to be willing to conquer from scratch. from the very first second, these three trax pave the way for a rockin, totally mad yet very structured electronic desaster, which is not easy to categorize musically, as it surely goes beyond your typical (post-)minimal track. a sure shot for all advanced djs with balls and brains, trippy, groovy as hell and flashing when least expected
shadow sanctuary is the home of london based artist dexter kane. whilst the imprint is primarily an outlet for his own music, showcasing work from friends, established artists and rising talent is also a large part of its ethos.

for more than 10 years, philip bader has been mixing it up in the berlin electronic muisic scene as a producer, dj and label founder – no wonder then that his first studio album, wishful thinking,to be released on berlin label highgrade records, is such an eagerly awaited piece of work.philip, a native of the capital city, has taken a year to complete this debut long player that seemlessly juggles a wide range of musical styles.

urgent, throbbing rhythms, which almost imperceptibly increase into a subtle wall of sound: the tracks on todd bodines new ep develop a hypnotic character, stolen away into a dark pulsating sound field which exactly match the title of the a-side: >dark matter<. the increasingly dense electric field mixes with sparse siren sounds that create their own unique attraction. the same qualities infuse >space and stop< on the b-side, with equally unexpected musical power surges. these are tracks that will drag the dance floor abruptly from its spell in the first few seconds, while simultaneously adding a very special drive and intensity. all in all, todd bodine proves again with his new ep - the first release after his highly successful album, >forms< – his unique sense of style, gained over almost ten years of production experience.
adf, aka adriano filippucci which manages to achieve a homogeneous fusion combining the euphoric feeling of techno and the vibrant soul of house. the title track, >perugia< is named after adrianos hometown in the heart of italy. whether it is the warmth of the sun or the mediterranean lust for life, perugia turns out to be a massive track, with its sparking melodies and a real sense of atmosphere and dynamic mischief. perugia gets the remix treatment from two of the directors at the highgrade headquarters. todd bodine sends the track firmly in the direction of detroit and into some new sonic territory. label boss tom clark sets the focus on the tracks technoid energy and simply lets the groove run away on route to its own destination. avanti avanti, amici!!
2003 techhouse with minimal and electroid influences, made by todd bodine for tom clarks highgrade imprint. remixes come from soopa-fi (sebo k & djama) and gebrueder teichmann.
todd bodine demonstrates with this ep once again extraordenary taste and skills. after a very successfull excursion on claude van strokes mothership label and his activities as a heavily booked live-act and dj he presents on >unexpected life-form< two brilliant tracks, that seem to burst with their energy. todd bodine apparently has gained a lot of experience how to bunch the impact on both the dancefloor and the musical side and how to turn the result into a wall of sound. and hes doing it by following his own unique style. on the a-side >calypso< captivates you right after a few seconds with its pulsating sequences and a subtle growing energy-level from break to break. developing a drive which wont miss its impact on any floor. >snakeskin< on the flip is homogeneously build around shimmering melody-sequences which create the energy of this track, while the bassline below pulsates warm and deep. sounds like: detroit without kitsch. or like a cross between matthew johnson, robert hood and fabrice lig. to put it in other words: a typical todd bodine release in the best sense. allready a true highlight in the highgradecatalogue in 20
to kick off into the new year, highgrade brings you a new edition of its various artists compilation. this time we focus on two surprising collaborations from the middle of berlins club circuit who seem to follow the same aim with different methods: clique artist daniel.fx joins up with one of highgrades main producers todd bodine for a deadpan minimal house groover, as well as the massive and challenging monster track by guido schneider from pokerflat together with ostgut/panorama barimpresario dj andre galuzzi - a demanding and enthusing track just perfect to bring on the perfect headrush on the legendary ostgut floor as well as everywhere else
two of san franciscos hottest djs, monty luke and tasho bring us their very first release, a low down paranoid techno groove to keep you biting your nails and shaking your ass. todd bodine (tresor, highgrade, immigrant) rocks the remix adding the necessary bumpy tweaks and hot precision to make a great track even more freaky
after his stunning lp on tresor records earlier this year, todd bodine drops another musical bomb with his 4th release - and probably best - release on our platform! once again todd squeezes and tortures his machines to the maximum, delivering 3 excellent, psychodelic, enthusiastic minimal techno trax. toddproves his reputation as one of the topacts once more, now its up to you to drop the bomb! supported by troy pierce, mike shannon, james flavour , chloe ...
ok no rest for the wicked, time for another instilment of immigrant machine funk… this time it s todd bodine s first solo ep for immigrant records, >the spring ep<. on remix duty we pass the baton to clever music head honcho and all round nice guy mark-henning (clever, freude am tanzen, einmaleins, clever)
zwei rank und schlanke tracks mit der bodine-eigenen straightness. todd bodine? ja genau, der von tresor, highgrade oder morris audio. geht schön und elegant da wo s hin muss, nämlich nach vorne
samim (here without his partner michael) opens up the race with a straight-to-the-top rocket, with his deep journey to ecstasy giving birth to a totally spaced out and hypnotic remix, cool as fuck, while format b do their typical techhouse madness, combining technoverdose with fat 2 step basslines and more. hail to mr oizo! todd bodine, on the other hand, gives us a beautiful and subtile minimal monster a la dan bell,so enjoy and please: stay high!
