here we have a double a-side 12-inch, with an intriguing new development of the secondo sound. still banging, still aimed at the club but with a sense of maturity and laid-backness, that the previous secondo material for dreck records might not have been centred around. the whole outlook has become more house orientated and we are very excited about this new mixture of the secondo splice-funk with the steadiness of early 90s house generating its own idiosyncratic sound. on the a-side, i think im gonna likeestablishes the housey mood of the 12straight off. a brief vocal sample is dotted over a relaxed rhythm until a break mid-track introduces the second half to its full extent and bloom. ædoktor panglosson the b-side continues with the mid-tempo flavour set out by the aside and is defined by a steady build up towards a disco sample beautifully placed towards the end of the track, where a heavy bass line cuts short the euphoria of disco strings. the sampling and references in both tracks have been pushed to the background and mentioning any of them would not do this exciting new material any justice. its all fresh!

when it comes to offbeat raw detroit house music you cant really mess with omar-s and his fxhe label. on this new double pack hes keeping it in the family with his cousin big strick providing us with 3 fresh tracks and omar-s treating us to his versions of his cousins tracks. both twelves flow nicely, mixing up early chicago sounds (think virgo, larry heard) with some uber-crisp drum programming from strick and omar-s. fans of big stricks 7 days ep will not be disappointed with this. six tracks filled with raw grit and jacking rhythms, house heads should definitely pick this up.

>esta si esta no< by the glimmers featuring baby g. is a cover version of one of the biggest euro rave anthems from the early nineties originally written and performed by spanish superstar dj chimo bayo. beautiful baby g (from lsb fame on eskimo recordings) took the vocals for her part whilst half of the glimmers house band disko drunkards are playing the instruments on this quite original adaptation. this release features three remixes. glimmers favorite german fella daniel haaksman (from berlin based man recordings) goes favella funk style with a very catchy sax hook and the amazing in flagranti is doing with the track what they can do best, making it very synthy disco sexy.. they deliver a vocal and an instrumental version.

sweet 4 track ep by this newcomer... 3ear has a great ear for new artist! sarrass is hailing from the south-west of germany. he began his musical career by studying trumpet and piano and performing in small classical and jazz groups. later, after learning about klaus schulze he got in touch with techno which has (as we all know) a huge impact! he debuted release on compost black with the >home at the sea< ep. third ear discovered him and signed this sweet 4 track ep! a nice blend of detroit techno with abstract electronical sounds as being used by klaus schulze and the early german pioneers and contemorary house. great modern club tools with a nice personal twist! check!
