a dont miss package that will captivate house crowds from manchester to madrid, get your mitts on these little beauties and watch your dancefloors ignite!
the title track made a brief appearance last year, garnering spins from the likes of fergie on radio 1. its now primed for full release, retaining its cool stuttering bleeped out hook atop a strident bassline thats designed to make sure no one can physically stand still, whether they want to or not. its also catchy as fuck. mike healey drops a cleaner remix that techs it out some, the first third or so of the track just twitters, phased sounds and hints at whats to come. its 1.00am central trip material until that bass finally implodes. are we alone? is a deeper closing cut, with suitably zoned out vocal samples and more electro tech shenanigans, making for a near essential ep for those who like it dark and trippy.
the original of song for marie and elise is a melancholic pop jewel, which was made for the movie in your head. the remix comes from the disco superstars aeroplane (of which vito is also a part of). they keep the sweet melody, but put a fatass bassline under it to shook to your very heart and soul and make this an outstanding remix. flip over you ll get code 7429. it combines 90s rave sounds with a stunning piano making this a dancefloor sureshot. hot hot hot!

bitches brew are back with their next wild installment - purple somersault. if the previous release was filed under country dub tronica, this release is psychedelic surf cosmic disco. kind of like link wray wipes out with giorgio moroder. an interesting and rather beautiful concept, in fact the whole wild rumpus story is rather interesting and beautiful. two pioneers of forward thinking music, but from very different backgrounds combine to make the kind of music you simply cant ignore but at the same time cant quite put your finger on.
in the year of punk 1977, the jams exploded onto the music scene with this seminal debut album. the raw, unfettered aggression of the bands approach was well in keeping with the spirit of the times, but the heart of their songs and sound lay in the mod movement of the mid 60s. singer/guitarist paul weller comes off like a cross between joe strummer and the young pete townshend, bashing unreservedly through slow down, one of the r&b tunes that inspired the original mods. weller extols the virtues of frenzied dancing and nonconformist youth culture over the raging three chord attack of bassist bruce foxton and drummer rick buckler. the pure punk insouciance of his words and delivery is a perfect match for the raging but hooky arrangements, which basically consisted of the band walking into the studio and blazing through their live set. rickenbacker guitars never sounded so thick, and skinny ties never seemed less geeky.
you re the one is the first single taken from his forthcoming album as high as the sky which will be released on wagon repair in may. baby you re the one is fast out of the blocks with racing percussion and a plunging bass loop. a piercing metallic tone encircles a distorted vocal sample as subtle melodies rise to the surface of the mix, steadily intensifying to climax. on the flip side, crackbeat is a darker animal. kindling wild percussion carries an eerily distant key melody that supports a rich synth siren. teeming with activity, the synth melody is trailed by bubbling bass tones as a feral percussive drive chases to close.

global player vincent vega (resident: ministry of sound sessions in st. petersburg) meets twinpitch which had just a big success with her latest singles >nonstop< and the result is a real electro-house smasher with some progessive elements. the violin arrangement on the original mix is the perfect contrast to the electronic sounds and at the whole line reminds a bit on >yellow - the race<. the sunday noon mix is the minimalistic version of the track. on b1 is a very strong remix by gorge

in 2007 tom dazing established himself as one of the most up and coming artists of belgium. at just 21 years of age he can count richie hawtin, josh wink, james zabiela, marco bailey, ambivalent, gabriel ananda, seth troxler, dominik eulberg, skoozbot and many more to his supporters. toms first heimatmelodie-ep was sold out after 3 days so its about time for more insane minimalism! the ep is opened by >sweet lady luck smiles<, a deep and dark sub-bass-mover featuring one of the filthiest synths you ever heard. quite contrary is >pun intended<, a quirky and uplifting party-mover destined to cause major damage on your primetime-dancefloor. the b-side offers 2 deeper tracks, the original of >visually hungry< is a hypnotic and slowly building groove-track, while arnaud le texier delivers a truly mental and dark technointerpretation. toms trademark outstanding sound quality shines through on all the tracks and finally turns this package into a musthave. all tracks written and produced by tom van der kelen
