2022 Repress
2022 Repress!
Michele Manzo - musician and producer who boasts international collaborations with Omar Lye-Fook,
Georgia Anne Muldrow and Declaime - is the man behind the second release of Angis Music. The EP
presents 3 different scenarios resulting from a spontaneous live session, which reflects the multiple
influences and symphonic approach of an artist with various styles. This work, inspired by the science
fiction novels of William Gibson - godfather of the cyberpunk genre - opens with the song “Burning
Chrome”, conceived as a nighttime escape taking you at lightening speed through the alleys of a city
that is galaxies away. Continuing on to the B side we have “Chiba City Park”, where the broken beat and
abstract harmonies create an ambience similar to that of those in Neuromancer. Finally, “Nebula’s
Grace” is a cosmic jam where time slowly floats away in dub echoes and disappears into the depth of
space..

Feedback:
Kaoru Inoue (Seeds and Ground / Chari Chari): Great 3 tracks of the electronic jams, I love it! Especially
"Burning Chrome", the quality deep house that I'd love to play on my set.
Funkineven (Apron Records): B1 is right up my street – B2 nice too!
Tama Sumo (Berghain / Panorama Bar): Thanks a lot for sending this, sounds beautiful.
Gary Gritness (Hypercolour): Excellent release! Super tones, musicality and mastering as well. Please
send Michele my regards for this awesome record, from a fellow William Gibson fanatic!
Patrick Gibin (Blend It! / Eglo Records): Cool EP! Nebula's Grace is my favourite.
XDB (Sistrum Recordings): Melodic storytelling detroity sounds. Especially the second tune is really
dope, well done!
Norm Talley (FXHE Records): Cool vibes man!
Volcov (Neroli): Solid EP, I really like the downtempo track.
Gerardo Frisina (Schema Records): Another great Angis Music release with 3 beautiful tracks. Just a
slight preference for "Chiba City Park".
Alex Attias (Visions Inc): Thank you. This is a dope release, I will play for sure.
Giorgio Luceri (Mathematics): Congratulations, I really like the construction and the sound quality of this
release. Personally, my favorite track is the B2.
Turbojazz (Local Talk): This is butter, great release!
Todd Modes (FIT Sound): That shit bangs! Thanks for thinking of me. Really digging the first track. It’s
all real good.
Lakuti (Uzuri): Lovely EP, congrats!
Patrick Luca (Saft Muzik): Nice release, Lovin' B Side both tracks – A side dope too – Congrats and
keep the good work.
Francesco Farfa: This is a really nice project. The first track is very close to the american deep house
productions of the early 2000s. The second, which I like the most, is very bizarre and excellent for
smooth selections. Third one too. Thanks for sending it to me.
