Stu Chapman is a name that has been around for a long time, usually working with Boykz or DJ Nee, to great success. But this release is actually Stu’s first ever solo outing. Yes, I was just as shocked as you! This whole EP sits firmly in the early days of breakbeat hardcore, with every track sounding like they have just been lifted straight from 1993 or 94. They all keep to the authentic sound and style that made hardcore so good back then. The balance of light and dark is great, being neither and both at the same time. Any of these tracks would slip into an authentic old skool set or a modern breakbeat set with no problems at all.
