Kid Culture’s back catalogue boasts releases for the likes of Gruuv, Suara, Remote Area and Catwash, showing tight-knit production and a modern appeal embodied in his outputs. Title track ‘Chord Chased’ opens the single, a brooding tech-house track with its focus predominantly on gritty electronics and low-slung drums. A smooth chord progression runs throughout the track and is softly manipulated adding a progressive feel to things, while simple yet effective drum programming and tense strings build a rock-solid foundation. Up next is ‘Nu Age Humming’, a mood-driven, stripped, house track employing heady low-end tones, warbling Rhodes licks and murmuring vocal lines.

On the flip side we have ‘Interstellar Drive By’, as the name suggests, the feel is spaced out and trippy, bringing fluttering synth lines, incomprehensible vocals and resonant sweeps to the forefront, while the percussive elements take on a contrasting format to the preceding tracks, with their loose and organic feel.
