Japanese based, dry-witted, multi-instrumentalist, Max Essa, docks his yacht to the good ship Bearfunk once more. This time its the title track from his soon-come LP >White Shoes Blue Dreams<. The original morphs things on from his pundit-pleasing beach and summer grooves onto an 80s tilt. The original mix is full of slick grooves and melodic musicality. Maxs own >Marbella< mix discos things up with a catchy keyboard riff that makes one think of a certain Van McCoy, floor-filling stuff. Fellow Bearfunk sailor, Roberto Auser, is up for remix duties. His angular Dutch grooves strip things back and make things refreshing and cool like he does with just about everything he touches. Stay tuned for the second Max Essa album on Bearfunk in the Autumn.
