space ranger are back on lovemonk. after a highly praised debut album, what about the magnetic fields?, the stuttgart gang delivers a new single, push button bang. they have joined forces with la based good night keaton on vocals to deliver a breezy, everlasting-summer anthem. sun-soaked grooves and roads leading to dance parties on the beach flow into the atmosphere when this is playing. aaron shanahan is the man behind good night keaton and he happens to be miami horrors drummer.
two grandiose remixes accompany the original. the legendary jori hulkkonen applies his wisdom to deliver one of his signature, class aa remixes, while up and coming spanish producer kresy, fresh from a wicked release on hivern, delivers a remix that will leave a certain smile on your face for a while. rounding off the single, space ranger step on it and go straight for the dance floor with intenzo, an immense italo-influenced house track.

space ranger is back on patrol. moving house and a peaktime affair plus a couple of remixes coming from moscow and barcelona. this is a hell of a 12 inch! another set of remixes (the last one) off of their stunning debut album >what about the magnetic fields?<. this time its moscovians lipelis & simple symmetry from the super hip pompeya who team up for an el debarge-style cosmic funk-pop affair, while barcelona resident barbena takes things the deep-house way. you also get the original and house monster >music< in the package. it doesnt get much better than this.

a tasty 4 track appetizer for their album due out in jan 2011 on lovemonk. not really edits, but diced up loops and breaks reworked with synths, drums and deft studio magic. you might hear some bar kays or dc la rue on here. fans of italo or cosmic disco tracks should definitely dig it.

space ranger comes from the stars. the trio based in stuttgart have a wide experience and an unlimited love for music. in their previous disguises they have done remixes for the likes of kool & the gang, sugababes and kurtis blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this new project. space is the place. he three members their dj careers in late 80s / early 90s and they are strongly influenced by the deep club sound of those days. combining sophisticated production skills, a huge range of analogue equipment and a long-term experience of what works on dance floors around the world they know how to move the crowds. by accessing to samples taken from a huge collection of old-school dance, disco and soul records they are creating the distinctive and sophisticated house and disco sound of today
